In dieser Werkreihe male ich Porträts ebenso wie abstrakte Bilder. Sie zeigen menschliche Archetypen und Pattern als wiederkehrende Strukturen, durch die ich Rhythmus, Ordnung und die Spannung des Frauseins erforsche. Pattern werden zu einem System, in dem sich das Bild formt.
Pattern strukturieren die Komposition und bestimmen ihren inneren Rhythmus. Sie schaffen ein visuelles Gerüst, innerhalb dessen sich Ganzheit zugleich aufbaut und wieder auflöst.
Auf sozialer und psychologischer Ebene stehen Pattern für erlernte Gewohnheiten, kulturelle Normen und sich wiederholende Verhaltensmuster, für das, was unsichtbar ist, jedoch einen enormen Einfluss auf die Prägung der Identität hat und meist unbewusst wirkt.
Pattern fragmentieren und maskieren das Bild. Ich zeige, wie sie den Menschen starr, unelastisch und unflexibel machen. Gleichzeitig verbergen sie das eigentliche Selbst wie eine Maske. Erst durch ihre Risse wird das wahre Ich sichtbar.
In der Vielschichtigkeit und Wiederholung entsteht ein visueller Kaleidoskopeffekt: Das Bild setzt sich immer wieder neu zusammen und zerfällt zugleich, als Spiegel der Komplexität von Identität und des Zusammenspiels von Persönlichem und Kollektivem. Meine Aufgabe in dieser Werkreihe ist es, das Unsichtbare ins sichtbare Licht zu bringen.

In this series of works, I paint both portraits and abstract images. They depict human archetypes and patterns as recurring structures through which I explore rhythm, order and the tension inherent in being a woman. Patterns become a system within which the image takes shape.
Patterns structure the composition and determine its inner rhythm. They create a visual framework within which wholeness simultaneously builds up and dissolves again.
On a social and psychological level, patterns represent learned habits, cultural norms and repetitive behavioural patterns; they stand for that which is invisible yet has an enormous influence on the shaping of identity and usually operates unconsciously.
Patterns fragment and mask the image. I show how they render people rigid, inflexible and inflexible. At the same time, they conceal the true self like a mask. It is only through their cracks that the true self becomes visible.
The complexity and repetition create a visual kaleidoscope effect: the image constantly reassembles itself whilst simultaneously disintegrating, mirroring the complexity of identity and the interplay between the personal and the collective. My aim in this series of works is to bring the invisible into the light.
